Attached Lining

This is an additional piece of fabric that is sewn to the back of a face fabric. The lining is attached to provide greater privacy, insulation and protection for the face fabric against sun and heat damage. Both light-filtering and blackout lining are available.

Characteristics of a Fabric

Inherent characteristics of fabric include random slub features.

Cleaning Instructions

Vacuuming and light brushing is a preferred maintenance recommendation for controlling and minimizing dust accumulation. It is recommended that your custom drapery be dry cleaned. Please refer to the Cleaning Instructions Card provided with your custom drapery.

Color Variations

There can be slight color variations from the photo images and the actual fabric. Dye lot variances are also normal from one production run of the fabric to the next and may produce slight color variations.

Custom Drapery Fabrication Allowance

A fabrication allowance of 1'' on the width specification and 1/2'' on the height measurement is standard.

Dimout

Dimout fabrics enhances privacy and light control but is not a blackout fabric.

Drapery Returns

The covering of the stationary end of the drapery panel that provides light blockage and privacy. It is the measurement distance between the projected drapery track and the wall.

Fabric Care Icons

Dry Clean Only

Water temperature should be no higher than 30C (85F) in the washing machine.

Iron using steam or dry. Temperature should not exceed 110C (230F).

Hang from line, but do not hand shape them.

Fire Resistant.

Fullness

200% Fullness is the equivalent of the panel measurement of the fabric multiplied by two times the track size. 170% Fullness is the equivalent to the panel measurement of the fabric multiplied by 1.7 times the track size.

Height

The height is from the top of the pleated drape to the bottom of the 4'' bottom hem.

Hooks

Drape hooks are used to connect the drape to the rod or track. The hooks are attached to the top back of the drape and behind the French Pleats.

Hook Settings

The placement of hooks on a drapery. The drapery hooks are set at 1-1/2'' from the top of the drapery.

Installation of Drapes

Instruction for hanging new draperies: Begin hanging draperies at the Master Slide (Figure A). Place hooks in each successive carrier.

Installation of Drapes

To train drapery headings:(Figure B) On conventional traverse rods, place your finger behind the flat fabric space between the pleats. Gently tug the heading forward and away from the rod. Repeat across the entire panel.

Left/Right Drapes

Separate Liner

Lining fabric sewn as a drapery panel, and not attached to a face fabric. Both light-filtering and blackout lining are available.

Sample Swatches

Sample swatches will be mailed within 7 working days of your request.

Sound Reduction

Drapery lining either attached or separate, will minimize and defuse noise but will not eliminate it completely.

Spacing

The spacing between pleats is 4-1/4'' - 5'', depending on the entire width of the panel.

A Notification email will be sent to you upon shipping in approximately 15 calendar days of your custom drapery order.

Unlined Drapery

Drapery without any lining, only the face fabric.

Width

The width is the measurement across the front of the face of the rod or track from left to right. Do not include drapery return measurement as it will be added separately when placing the order.
